Majestic Restaurant

Established since January 2006, Majestic Restaurant features contemporary Chinese cuisine helmed by acclaimed owner-Chef Yong Bing Ngen.

In 2017, it moved out of New Majestic Hotel after the hotel’s sale, but a large part of the identity was based on the architecture’s facade.

The restaurant commissioned Restless for a brand refresh to better reflect the quality and and stature of this exceptional Chinese restaurant. To explore more enduring ideas, we looked inward to its form and provenance, developing an identity that is lasting and meaningful.

“Contemporary Chinese cuisine helmed by internationally renowned, award-winning owner-Chef Yong Bing Ngen.”

The motif is inspired by the origins of the Chinese word in Majestic.
‘華'(Brilliance) evolved from the ancient inscription signifying flower.
The resulting concept is a fitting metaphor on blooming brilliance.

Embossed patterns on lunch, dinner, drinks and set menus

The floral motif is deployed in a variety of ways, on tableware and menus.
